2-8-4 Tank Engine
The WT was a post-independence design. It was a powerful tank engine built by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works to haul heavy suburban passenger traffic in certain big Indian cities. Only a few were built.
TECHNICAL NOTES
The WT shared a lot of common parts with the WP Pacific. The WM 2-6-4 tank engine was essentially a lighter version of the WT.
Some WTs had "elephant-ear" smoke deflectors like meter gauge YPs and YGs. The one in the picture does not.
